Getting the levels right
We use laser levels to set accurate heights and falls across the area. For lawns, we remove old turf and weeds, cultivate and level the soil, add good-quality topsoil where needed and firm it before turfing. That's the difference between a lawn that stays flat and one that develops dips and puddles within a year. On heavy clay we may recommend drainage first.

Keep foot traffic to a minimum for about two to three weeks, until the roots have knitted into the soil. You can usually mow lightly after two weeks.
